Proud of her education, Vagdevi wants an equally qualified daughter-in-law. Meanwhile, an uneducated Saraswati uses her wisdom to tackle every challenge in the village.

Episode 1

Troubled by her aunt Nagmani’s cruelty, Saraswati also has to take care of her little sister Chinni. Meanwhile, Vagdevi throws a party at home to celebrate her success.

Episode 2

Saraswati lives with the hope that her father will return from abroad. Ishwar Prasad apologises to Saraswati for his msitake. Vagdevi assigns an important project to her elder daughter-in-law, Vanaja.

Episode 3

Saraswati recalls the past, where her father had helped Ishwar Prasad open a school in the village. Hurt on being insulted by Shyamala, Ishwar Prasad’s daughter-in-law, Vagdevi makes a decision.

Episode 4

After Uma and Jagannath convince him, Arun supports Vagdevi’s decision. Angered by this, Ishwar Prasad throws Arun and Vagdevi out of the house. Uma helps Arun by giving her jewellery to him.

Episode 5

Ishwar Prasad ousts Uma and Jagannath. Meanwhile, Vagdevi comes to the city with Arun and opens a school. When Uma starts having labour pains, Jagannath brings her to the city and seeks Arun's help.

Episode 6

Due to an inspection at Vagdevi’s school, she doesn’t go to the hospital with Arun. Later, Arun reaches the hospital to help Jagannath, but by then, Uma had given birth to a baby and had passed away.

Episode 7

Jagannath blames Arun for Uma’s death. Saddened by memories from the past, Saraswati returns home. Vagdevi insults Ishwar Prasad when he comes home, and an upset Ishwar Prasad tries to commit suicide.

Episode 8

Saraswati gives Ishwar Prasad hope that his family will reunite and makes him a promise. Rahul returns home after securing a project abroad. Vanaja’s sister, Meggi, also arrives at Vagdevi’s house.

Episode 9

When Saraswati phones Vagdevi to update her on Ishwar Prasad’s condition, it leaves Vagdevi furious. Meanwhile, Meggi impresses Vagdevi and flirts with Rahul while asking him a question.

Episode 10

Vagdevi refuses to bow down to Ishwar Prasad for Rahul’s project. However, Rahul lies to Vagdevi and decides to go to the village. Meanwhile, Nagmani taunts Saraswati about her father.

Episode 11

Saraswati feels sad as she recalls the time when her father left her and her sister to work abroad. Later, on his way to the village, Rahul meets Saraswati and a playful banter sparks between them.

Episode 12

Even after 12 years, Arun remains burdened by guilt over Uma’s death. Rahul arrives in the village and camps outside Ishwar Prasad’s house. Nagmani punishes Saraswati and Chinni by denying them food.

Episode 13

Madhu secretly feeds a starving Saraswati and Chinni. Vagdevi offers Meghna a job at her institute, while Rahul eyes Ishwar Prasad’s land, planning to seize it for his project.
